Hello friends and family. Today was the final day of “filing week” for elections. You will notice that my name is not on the list of those running for school board in Kent.
I have decided to pursue other interests and will not have time to take classes, complete an internship, teach, do union work, AND be on the school board.
It’s been a great experience and I have enjoyed advocating for the students and educators in Kent. It hasn’t always been fun, but I am hopeful my hard work was noticed and that the folks elected in November will continue the important work. I will be on the board and acting as board president until my term ends in December. Maybe you’ll see me again.
